Hiatus

Lately, there has been a trend that i began to follow that has made me too busy. I started doing poorly in my job to teach due to the fact that I don't have any extra time. Poor defined as not teaching anyone. There were sacrifices that had to be made. To teach others or to pick up my grades.

It would be hypocritical of me not to take the lessons of my posts. So I went into a hiatus in order to pick up my grades. As explained in my last blog, it is important in the learning of drums but it is only a privilege to do so. Currently, I am working on papers and finishing up my work in a complete way.(Quality of the work is not important right now.)

Of course, there is another lesson to be learned from this. The importance of the teacher doing well. It is a necessity for the teacher to do well in whatever conflicts there are in his life. It could be from doing homework to experiencing an emotional breakdown. This could affect the learning of the students because they are learners. If they know their teacher can't handle work, then they would find it as an excuse to also do it. I know this personally. So right now, I am in a hiatus until my situation gets better.

  1. I understand where you're coming from Erick. I too feel very overwhelmed with all the stuff that's going on and I almost didn't get the chance to comment on your blog. But you have to make a plan. Not a very demanding plan though because there are so many things going on right now. I keep brainstorming ideas and I write things down on what I want to include in my video. I also keep thinking of ways that I can promote my video so that more people can see it. It's not much but it's something and I'll be prepared to do it come next semester. I think that's what you and the rest of our classmates should be doing write now. I feel your pain and I understand that you think you're a bad teacher but how can you be a bad teacher if you really haven't started yet. I wish you the best and just jot down ideas on how you plan to teach, when, scheduling, etc. Good Luck!
